This episode we will be discussing the Marvel Series Luke Cage.

A Netflix Webseries by Cheo Hodari Coker, is based on the Marvel Comics character and set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  This series is sharing continuity with other films of the franchise and is expected to lead up to a Defenders crossover miniseries.
Mike Colter stars as Carl Lucas / Luke Cage, a framed convict with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin who now fights crime. It is currently streaming on NetFlix, where you can watch the entire season in one day.

We will be discussing the Marvel Series Luke Cage.

Our guests today are;

Jeff Carroll, is a science fiction writer, filmmaker, and writer famous for Gold Digger Killer and his 5th work the Harlem Shake.

Naseed Gifted, is a creator, writer of PB Soldier Sci Sci-Fiic book series, and the creative director of PBS Media an animation studio.  Mr. Gifted is an educator overseeing a High School pre-engineering program.

Cathleen Dean, is a historian, filmmaker, and producer for the Miami-Ft-Lauderdale 48 Filmmaker project, and educator.

Michael Forsyth is a filmmaker and author who was once a writer for th infamous and outrageous tabloid Weekly World News,  as well as an associate editor for the National Enquirer.

Welcome to Episode 0022 a re-broadcast episode featuring Emmy-winning recipient, Mr. Russell Bates who is known for Star Trek the Animated Series episode, "How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth", where the Enterprise Crew runs into a being which once visited Earth, and influenced the Mayan Culture.  Mr. Bates is also known for the TV series, Isis and Porky's II.  He is a Native American and comes from the Kiowa tribe.  We also have, Hugo Nominated, David Gerrold who is credited for several Star Trek Episodes, this includes the most famous episode in the Star Trek franchise, (The Trouble with Tribbles).  Mr. Gerrold is also credited with many fantastic TV shows, (Sliders, Deep Space Nine,Babylon 5, Superboy, The Real Ghostbusters, Logan's Run, Land of the Lost, and more.  In addition, we have Mr. Joe Cepeda who  is the creator and producer of the Star Trek Fan Film Production –Natures Hunger. 

Additional guests are Brian Holloway who teaches theater and is the make-up supervisor for the Star Trek Fan Series New Voyages:Phase II.  Mr. Eric L. Watts Master of Ceremonies at the world famous Treklanta a sci-fi con that not only hosts the only Star Trek Fan Film Award show but is the biggest little con in the South.  It is well worth a visit or two.  We have Leslie E Owen, who is a literary agent, writer, editor, and teacher.  Leslie has been writing about Star Trek since 2014

In the light of the increasing amount of Trek news, topics will range from Rihanna, the Fifty-Year Mission; another enterprise ship has been placed in a museum, fan films, the message behind star trek, (cultural and economic changes in star trek from yesterday to today), plus more.

Jeff Carroll is pioneering what he calls Hip Hop Horror, Sci-fi, and fantasy. His stories always have lots of action and a social edge.  He has written and produced two films and has published threebooksThug Angel - Rebirth of a GargoyleIt Happened on Negro Mountain and a collection of his shorts stories Sci-fi Streetz.  His work is referenced in The Black Science Fiction Society and TheState of Black Science Fiction. Jeff also produces The Monster Panel, a traveling sci-fi group which features writers of color who engage their audience in a lively discussion of comic books, movies, and Black people.
He joins us from South Florida; let's listen in.

Tribbles and Trilobites - Episode 0020 - MORGENRODE with Anders Elsrud Hultgreen

Welcome to Tribbles and Trilobites Episode 20. Coming to us from the edges of the Ginnungagap, it is a land where fire meets ice, existing there is Mr. Anders Elsrud Hultgreen.  He is a filmmaker and visual artist based in Bergen, Norway GMT +1. He studied at the Bergen Academy of Art & Design, the Emily Carr University in Vancouver, the Nordland Vocational College and studied under Werner Herzog.

Mr. Hultgreen tells us the story of how he got his inspiration for producing his films and the backstory behind many of them.  This episode will also highlight his first and highly successful Science Fiction feature MORGENRØDE also known as "DAWN."  We also discuss several of his short films and an upcoming book, titled "Ferdsskriveren," a science fiction poetry book. Here we go... This is real. Into the Ginnungagap...

Tribbles and Trilobites - Episode 0019 - VHS Massacre: Cult Films and the Decline of Physical Media, with Thomas Edward Seymour

For over 15 years, Thomas Edward Seymour was CBS News Editor and Internet content creator.  He has been in the entertainment industry, in one facet or another. Thomas has remained almost exclusively underground (except for an occasional New York Times mention, an “Ain’t it Cool” review or a regional NPR appearance). His most notable films are Bikini Bloodbath and Mark of the Beast. 

He has also worked on successful web videos that have been shown on “Attack of the Show” and the “Tonight Show”. Some notable online content creators that he has partnered up with also include NBC Universal Digital Studios, College Humor, and Black20. 

Tom currently works as tenured college staff in the CUNY system. VHS Massacre is the 9th feature film that Tom has directed, and this is his first documentary. When Tom is not busy making movies he enjoys playing & collecting retro video games, watching bad movies and eating cheese.

Join in a conversation with Mr. Thomas Edward Seymour who won Best Documentary film at the Miami International Science Fiction Film FestivalWe discuss his lively documentary and explore the rise and fall of physical media and its effect on Independent and cult films. Our conversation will range from the origin of home movies through the video store era. If you have not seen the documentary, you will nevertheless enjoy this episode. We will also cover other aspects of independent film and what direction the industry will find itself in the not so distant future.

Tasked with a mission that would seemingly save mankind, his traumatic past comes back to haunt him as the fate of humanity hangs in the balance.
