Tribbles and Trilobites: Episode 0015 - George Gonzalez, Ph.D., - Star Trek and Beyond, Part 2


Episode 0015 featuring Dr. George Gonzalez, professor, and author discusses his book, The Politics of Star Trek: Justice, War, and the Future. Where, the Star Trek franchise reflects, conveys, and comments upon the key philosophical tensions of the modern era. His book details the manner in which these tensions and controversies are manifested in Star Trek across its iterations, arguing that Star Trek offers an indispensable contribution to our understanding of politics in the modern era.  He joins us from the University of Miami Political Science Department.

Also with us are Mr. Kyle Sullivan from the award winning webisode TrekspertiseLeslie E Owen a literary agent, writer, editor, and teacher who has been writing about Star Trek since 2014. Additional special guests who join in the discussion are Michele Specht, who plays Dr. Elise McKennah from the fan series Star Trek Continues and a surprise chat room visit from Star Trek Writer Mr. Russell Bates who joins in from the live chat room.
